The Door to God Is Within You
Heaven is not only a promise of the future.
It begins as an inner reality.
Within every person there is a space for communion with God.
It does not need to be created — it needs to be recognized.
We often assume that intimacy with God is the result of effort.
But in truth, it is the result of recognition.
Yet between recognition and communion there often stands a threshold.
It is invisible to the eye,
but the heart senses its presence.
The Threshold: From Striving to Abiding
This threshold is different for each person.
For some, it is the shift from “I strive” to “I abide.”
For others, it is the movement from religious performance to living intimacy with God.
Sometimes it is the moment when “I must” dissolves and “I choose” is born.
Sometimes it is the point where a person stops building ladders toward heaven and finally steps onto the one already prepared.
It is a transition:
• from outward form to inward reality
• from structure to essence
• from effort to Christian contemplation
The threshold is not a barrier.
It is an invitation.
Spiritual growth often begins at this quiet place of decision.
2 Corinthians 3:18 — Beholding and Spiritual Transformation
The Apostle Paul writes:
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory.”
Spiritual transformation does not happen through pressure.
It begins with the consent of the heart and the direction of the gaze.
Beholding is an act of trust.
It is allowing the Light of God to influence your nature.
Contemplation is abiding before His face.
It is the inward turning toward Him and the settling of the will upon His glory.
When the heart remains fixed on His glory, the inner person begins to reflect what it beholds.
This does not happen instantly.
But it happens inevitably.
From glory to glory.
Spiritual growth is not a sudden leap.
It is faithfulness in small obediences.
It is the repeated choice to abide in God.
It is the agreement of the heart, again and again.
The Garden: Entering Through Trust
To enter the garden, sometimes all that is required is to step beyond a single inner thought:
“I need to earn it”
→
“I am allowed to abide.”
The garden does not open through effort.
It is entered through trust.
And when you enter, you discover that within this garden there is a door to God.
And that door is always closer than you think.
Abiding in God is not achieved through striving.
It is received through surrender and trust.
A Personal Journey of Transformation
In my own life, it was one great transition formed by many small ones.
To this day, each “I choose” draws me nearer to intimacy with God.
I have seen this clearly: when the heart chooses Him, everything begins to work together for good.
Circumstances themselves become instruments that deepen relationship.
What once felt like obstacles now serve spiritual growth.
This Is How Heaven Begins
Heaven begins not somewhere outside of you, but in the place where you choose His presence.
The threshold is invisible to the eye.
But if you pause — you will surely find it.
And when you do, you will discover that the door to God has been within you all along.
