During prayer, I entered a garden — but it was no ordinary garden. It was a place of living stones and mysterious reality. Everything around me seemed both wondrous and awe-inspiring. Stones lay scattered everywhere, stretching far into the distance, filling a landscape too vast for the eye to fully behold.
The atmosphere was extraordinarily rarefied — thin, transparent, and light, yet filled with a deep shimmer in hues of blue and sapphire. Here, thoughts grew still. All within me fell silent to make space for revelation. The air was saturated with elusive meanings — as if answers to hidden riddles drifted through it, as though truth itself had entered the garden’s breath, spreading like a canopy of treasures over this wondrous place.
The stones rested calmly and with purpose, each knowing its place. At first glance they looked similar, all roughly the same size. Yet each was filled with an inner light, giving the impression of living stones woven from secrets; in the center of each, a flickering wick seemed to beckon one to enter its own unique, unfathomable mystery — its truth, its message, or its unspoken revelation belonging solely to it.
The stones were arranged in a free, playful pattern, leaving enough space to walk between them without disturbing their peace.
As I moved gently, I examined the garden with care. The stones seemed endless, stretching farther than I could see. Holding my breath, my eyes swept over the details of this fairytale-like atmosphere. I longed to touch each one, but I realized that revelations cannot be touched in passing. I wanted to pause — not merely stop my body, but my whole being. To slow into an inner stillness where everything gathered — images, thoughts, expectations — could be released. I wanted to clear the inner space so I could absorb the substance of truth, to gaze with my heart at each stone as at a living book I knew would begin to speak.
I resolved to approach them with a clean slate, so that in wholeness and mindful peace, I could allow the moment of encounter between my innermost self and the unimaginable treasures hidden within these stones.
I was filled with expectation. The transparency of the atmosphere, the depth of feeling, the garden’s unique climate, and the mysterious play of color beneath its secret dome — all seemed to aid this encounter.
It was as though I had stepped into this transparent reality — into a garden where mysteries were not hidden away, but waiting to be revealed. Looking over the whole garden, I let my gaze settle on one stone nearby. Suddenly, something happened. It shone with a bright light and began to transform. By my attention, I allowed the stone to unveil its essence. Its inner light danced in shades of glory, and then the space around it completely changed. There was no flash, no sound. The dimness retreated. The air grew heavy with truth, and the hidden meanings within this stone began to flow outward, saturating everything nearby with an atmosphere of revelation.
The space where I stood filled with radiance — not from the sun or any outward source, but from the mutual exchange between attention and revelation, between my inner touch and the response of the mystery itself.
I looked around and saw that the mysterious half-light of the garden still lingered, wrapped in the stillness of pre-dawn expectation. The gentle light streaming from the stones continued to flow softly between them like invisible breath, bathing the entire garden in a blue-sapphire glow. Everything remained as it was… except for one place — the place where that stone and I stood. Only here the light broke forth. I saw how the very dimension around me responded to my attention.
And now, I found myself in a completely different reality — though still in the mysterious garden. It was a reality of brilliant light and a new day, awakened by truth from within the stone I had chosen to notice and engage.
And here is what is truly astonishing: woven into our present reality are treasures of truth hidden in mysteries and answers — all waiting to be revealed in fullness to each one of us, transforming the essence of our here and now.
We co-create the reality in which we live.
Everything our attention touches, everything our heart dwells upon, comes alive. Therefore, the quality of our everyday life is determined by the measure of our focus, genuine interest, and wholehearted engagement.
The key question is: Where does your heart dwell?
What draws your heart? What mystery do you seek to unravel? Where have your dreams found their hiding place? And what holds your attention?“What do you want?” — Jesus once asked the one who came to Him expecting an answer.
“I will go before you and level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.”(Isaiah 45:2-3)
